He is a board-certified ophthalmologist who received his education from MIT and NYU. Dr. Chin has pursued advanced fellowship training in cataract and refractive surgery and has experience as a former assistant professor at NYU. Dr. Chin’s commitment to advancing the field of ophthalmology extends beyond his clinical practice. As a former Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at NYU Medical Center, he was entrusted with teaching complex surgical techniques to the next generation of residents and fellows. His leadership is also demonstrated through his extensive lectures at scientific conferences and his role in instructing fellow eye surgeons in advanced cataract and laser vision correction procedures.
We often take for granted that vision is the primary thread that weaves together our daily experiences, from navigating the world to recognizing a smile. My life’s work is dedicated to protecting it on every level, restoring sight for my patients so they can live with richness and independence. But just as importantly, passing on my knowledge to elevate the standard of care, impacting the lives of countless patients I may never personally meet.

Pioneering Research Advancing Patient Care
Throughout his career, Dr. Chin has actively contributed to the body of scientific knowledge that shapes modern eye surgery. He has authored and co-authored influential articles in peer-reviewed journals on fundamental cataract surgery techniques like “Phaco sweep,” “Capsulorhexis,” and “Divide and Conquer Nucleofractis.” His research also extends to laser vision correction and, most recently, to innovative glaucoma treatments, where he served as a Principal Investigator for the clinical trial of the iDose TR intraocular implant.
